About the role
At Abbots Langley School we are proud of our pupils, staff and community. We are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant (TA). We are a two form entry school.
We are looking for a candidate who enjoys working with children and is interested in their development. Previous experience of working with children is desirable but not essential, and training will be encouraged and supported. The successful candidate will be supporting pupils with phonics as well as supporting pupils during lessons.
The hours are 8.30am - 3.15pm with a 30 minute lunch break.
We seek out opportunities for CPD with all of our staff. We have large school grounds, including a forest area. As a school we promote the Growth Mindset and use MindUP across all classes to ensure our pupils' wellbeing.
All of our support staff work collaboratively, under the guidance of our Senco and our Deputy Headteachers. Opportunities are provided for support staff to work together and share good practice.
