Full time SEND Learning Support Assistant required
We are seeking to appoint a skilled and enthusiastic SEND Learning Support Assistant to join our team to work with a child in KS1 in and out of the mainstream classroom as well as supporting other children in class. Experience of working in a school is essential and experience with children with social, emotional and mental health needs would be a significant advantage. This fixed-term position during term time and will be paid on scale H2.
The successful candidates will:
- Work as part of a team in a supportive environment
- Be a warm and caring person, who puts the needs of the children first
- Ideally have previous experience of supporting children within KS1 at a 1:1 or small group level
- Be confident in observing, assessing and planning for children's individual needs and next steps in conjunction with the class teacher and SENDCO
- Use a range of supportive resources and interventions under advice from the SENDCO
- Be willing to take part in training opportunities
- Have great organisational and communication skills

This is a post starting immediately that would be suitable for applicants with some level of experience. The succesful applicant would be working initially as part of a team to support a child in Year 1.
