About the role

We are looking for an outstanding teacher to join our EYFS team at Belswains Primary School from September 2025. As a two form entry school, you will join an established and supportive EYFS Team for the new school year.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in an inclusive school with a real motivation to foster a culture of respect and compassion, where children are confident to take risks, persevere and embrace challenges. The successful candidate will be conscientious, have high expectations and be able to inspire our pupils. The ideal candidate will have previous experience within Early Years.

We would be delighted to welcome you to our school, show you around and to answer any questions that you may have.

ECTs are welcome to apply.

This is a maternity leave position for one academic year initially. The pay scale for this advert has been aligned against the teacher pay scale (in the fringe) 2024-25, but will reflect the pay scales for 25-26, once finalised.

Belswains Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Appointment to this post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check as well as other pre-appointment checks outlined in Keeping Children Safe in Education (2024) and online check. To help us meet our high standards and aspirations of a fully diverse and inclusive workplace, we strongly encourage suitably qualified applicants from all backgrounds to apply and join us.

Belswains Primary School is a Steps trained school, using a therapeutic approach to behaviour management and was re-confirmed as a 'Good' school by Ofsted in March 2023.

Please visit our website to gain a flavour of our school and do contact the school on admin@belswains.herts.sch.uk for further information or a school visit.

Applicants must submit a completed application form, together with a cover letter of application outlining reasons for applying for the post and any other information relevant.

Please note applicants may be invited to interview before the deadline of this advert due to other external notice period deadlines.
