All Saints Catholic Academy Trust (ASCAT) has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and energetic individual who has the passion to become a faith leader working with children and young people, and who can help them explore and engage with their faith. This post may be of particular interest to those that wish to explore a career in teaching or chaplaincy.
You will support the Catholic Life and Collective Worship of our school communities and will work with, and be supported by, a growing Chaplaincy team across the Trust.
The apprenticeship is in partnership with St Mary’s University Twickenham, and successful completion will lead to a Level 4 Certificate in Higher Education as a Children, Young People and Families Practitioner.
This is a fixed-term contract for the duration of the apprenticeship, commencing on 2nd September 2025 with a school term of induction in your assigned group of schools (Hemel Hempstead/Berkhamsted area), followed by a two year blended qualification course in conjunction with St Mary’s from January 2026 to December 2027.
Please note, there is a genuine occupational requirement that applicants should be practising Catholics, and your Parish Priest will be approached for a reference to confirm this.
37 hrs per week, 38 weeks per year (term-time only, plus inset days as required)
Actual salary £19,697 per annum
