Larwood School is a dynamic, exciting and successful primary day special school with an innovative and constantly evolving curriculum for boys and girls with social, emotional and mental health related difficulties.
Applications are invited for the position of Office and Finance Administrator to start from March/ April 2025
We require an experienced Office and Finance administrator, based in our reception as soon as possible. You will be required to support the Office & Finance Administrator and Trust Finance Administrator in work relating to financial procedures and be the first point of call for parents and visitors to our school. Multi-tasking will be a key asset!
As a potential member of our staff, you will already have some administrative experience, and this will be school based. You will need to be well organised and able to prioritise your work load effectively.
It is essential that you have excellent word processing skills, good knowledge of ICT systems and a background in financial systems (school based) would be a distinct advantage.
Being able to work with many different groups of people such as school staff, senior leaders, parents, pupils and external visitors to the school is a key requirement for a happy and calm school environment.
GCSE English and Maths Grade C or above or equivalent qualification are essential.

We were judged as ‘good’ by Ofsted in all areas during inspection in November 2022 and 'outstanding' for Behaviour. We became an academy school in Nov 2016 and are the lead school in a 2-school multi academy trust. We also provide outreach support for primary schools within Stevenage, focusing on behaviour management support strategies. All appointments are subject to the satisfactory completion of the necessary pre-employment checks, including two references, enhanced DBS certificate and occupational health checks as part of our safeguarding and induction procedures.
