Grade H5/H6 (£26,409 - £31,067 FTE)
Actual salary: £22,842 - £26,871 depending on qualifications and experience
37 hours per week, Mon–Thu 8.00am – 4.00pm, Fri 8.00am – 3.30pm
Term time (38 weeks) + 7 days p.a.
Hitchin Boys’ School (HBS) is a high achieving, all ability, single sex school with over 1,300 students on roll. In collaboration with our partner schools, we have a mixed sixth form. We are now seeking an enthusiastic IT Technician to join our IT team in helping support the school’s IT systems. Start date as soon as possible.
The successful applicant will be familiar with upgrading software, in particular Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft 365. They will also be required to remove viruses/malware, replace laptop screens, complete basic hardware upgrades and re-image hard drives to our specification.
Computer networking skills and familiarity with Microsoft servers including Active Directory, Group Policies, User profiles and basic systems security are desirable however on the job training will be provided. The applicant should be able to work as part of a team in a busy environment and will have good communication skills. Applications from those wishing to contribute to other aspects of school life outside the classroom are particularly welcome.
