This is a fantastic time to join our expanding and outstanding school and to contribute to a highly regarded, supportive and ambitious English and Media department. 

What are we looking for?

• An inspiring and motivational Head of Media Studies who can enthuse and engage students to achieve their full potential while developing a successful and growing department.
• A committed individual who wishes to add to the success of the Media Studies department by researching and implementing their own ideas and strategies.
• The department sits within the larger English and Media department and the successful applicant will also teach English. This post would suit an ambitious teacher who wishes to develop their career further to Assistant or Deputy Headship in due course

• The school has been graded outstanding by Ofsted.  The school was inspected by Ofsted in the June of 2024 and found to be ‘Outstanding’ in every category. The inspectors described the school as a “highly happy and purposeful place to be” and that “pupils treat each other with the utmost tolerance and respect”. They also referred to the “exceptional work” pupils produce and the “wealth of wider opportunities that promote personal development.”

• In accordance with the school’s admissions criteria, children of staff at the school are eligible to be allocated a place under this criterion where the member of staff is recruited under a contract of employment to fill a vacant post for which there is a demonstrable skill shortage.

• The school was recently awarded the Emotional and Mental Wellbeing in Schools Mark, evidencing our commitment to supporting emotional wellbeing, resilience and kindness across our school community.
