Early Years Learning Support Assistant

About the role

Welcome to Weston Way Nursery.  

We have a rare opportunity to join our Weston Way family as an Early Years Learning Support Assistant where we are proud of our 'Home from Home' ethos.  We are looking for someone who is passionate about education in the early years and has the desire to make a real difference to the lives of young children through the core provision.

Our new early years learning support assistant will contribute to the nursery wider's aims of ensuring that every unique child has access to a warm, nurturing, safe and enabling environment promoting our school aims: 

Happiness, Opportunities, Magical moments, Engagement

This will entail supporting a child on a 1:1 basis with identified special eductaional needs following their Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP).  This will involve playing with the child for extended periods of time both indoors and outdoors, undertaking observations, feeding assessments into the planned activities led by key persons and teaching staff in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, in addition to supporting the child during lunctimes.

The hours of work are for 18.75 hours a week each morning 9.00am-12.45pm term time only.  (This will affect the pro rata salary where the number of weeks working for HCC affects pro-rata calculations.  These can be supplied on request prior to interview).
