Locations: Stevenage (Larwood School) and Pulloxhill

Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance

Start Date: 1st September 2025

Are you passionate about making a difference to children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs? We are seeking dedicated and skilled teachers to join our outstanding team across our two specialist SEMH primary school sites.

About Us:

We are a specialist SEMH primary provision operating across two sites in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. Our Larwood School site in Stevenage is an established and successful provision, whilst our Pulloxhill site is an exciting new development. Both schools share the same vision and values, working collaboratively to provide exceptional education for our pupils.

The Opportunities:

We have teaching vacancies at both our sites:

• Larwood School, Stevenage

• Pulloxhill site (new provision)

Our class sizes are small (typically 8-10 pupils) with high staffing ratios, allowing teachers to build strong relationships and deliver personalised learning experiences. Each class is supported by experienced teaching assistants who work closely with teachers to support our pupils' needs.

The Ideal Candidate:

Whilst experience in SEMH or special education settings is valuable, we are primarily seeking teachers whose values and ethos align with our Trust principles. We provide comprehensive training and support to help you develop expertise in SEMH education. What matters most is your commitment to making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children.

We are looking for teachers who:

  • Have a genuine passion for working with children with SEMH needs
  • Can create engaging, differentiated learning experiences
  • Have high expectations for all pupils
  • Are resilient and maintain a sense of humour
  • Can build positive relationships with challenging pupils
  • Work effectively as part of a supportive team
  • Are committed to their own professional development
  • Have excellent behaviour management skills

What We Offer:

  • Comprehensive induction programme
  • Specialist SEMH training and development
  • Regular supervision and support
  • Small class sizes with high staffing ratios
  • A supportive and collaborative working environment
  • Opportunities for career progression
  • Access to wellbeing support
  • Competitive salary package including SEN allowance

We welcome applications from mainstream teachers who are looking to develop their practice in SEMH education. Our extensive training programme will equip you with the specialist skills needed to excel in our setting. NQTs/ECTs are also encouraged to apply.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a growing and innovative provision
  • Make a real difference to children's lives
  • Join a supportive and dedicated team
  • Excellent professional development opportunities
  • Work in purpose-built, well-resourced facilities
