Please can you describe your journey into working in education?
Since starting a family my work life went into a different direction, making the decision to try and make the balance between home and work. My first route into working in the education sector was as an administrator at a small nursery. This was a great stepping stone into my current role.
What are the key things you love most about your job?
In all my previous work roles, I have enjoyed working with people and this is the main thing I like about my current role. Each day there is something different and new to learn. It's also great to feel part of the school community.
What advice would you give to someone who is looking to work in a similar role?
Get involved in volunteering at a school setting and expect every day to be different from the next. Think about what transferrable skills you may have from previous working roles that can be used in this role.
