About the role
A rare opportunity has arisen for a KS1 class teacher at Kingsway Infant School – a warm, friendly, nurturing and aspirational school. Our teacher is leaving due to relocation and we are looking for a happy and positive teacher who is looking to work with our motivated, friendly and inspirational team.
Our aim is for all children to achieve their best, to develop their emotional wellbeing, to be happy and to prepare them for a life of learning. Our values of Inclusivity, Respect, Aspiration, Nurture and Happiness underpin everything we do.
We are seeking to appoint a hard-working and inspirational KS1 class teacher who is passionate about education, wants to make a difference and who provides a positive learning experience for our children. Our ideal candidate will be nurturing, ambitious and passionate about inspiring and supporting children to develop and learn in an inclusive environment. They must be able to use their own initiative and demonstrate a calm, patient and kind approach. The position is for a KS1 Class Teacher to begin in the Summer Term 2025 (22nd April 2025) or earlier if available. We would welcome applications from experienced teachers or ECTs.
We ask that all candidates who wish to apply, visit the school to see us in action and find out more about what it is like to be a member of staff and a child at Kingsway Infant School. Candidates should contact the school office ( 01923 675005 or head@kingsway.herts.sch.uk) to arrange a tour of the school.
Kingsway Infant School is a two-form entry community school for children from 4 to 7 years of age. We have close links with the community and the link nursery and junior school.

Kingsway is a brilliant place for teachers at different points of their careers and we value the knowledge, skills and expertise that new staff bring to our school.
Kingsway Infant School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, parents, volunteers, visitors and contractors to share this committment. All appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check and references.
This appointment may close early should we have candidates apply and ready to interview.
