About the role

We are seeking to appoint a SEND TA, H2, starting September 2025, or earlier if possible. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, nurturing and a team player with good communication skills and an understanding of autism. The role will include supporting emotional regulation and social interactions, supporting learning through play, working with external agencies to implement strategies such as speech and language support. Experience of supporting children with SEND is essential. This role is fixed term, linked directly to the pupil’s EHCP, working Monday to Friday (30hrs).

We are looking for someone who: 

  • Is passionate about inclusion. 

  • Has a good understanding of autism. 

  • Understands therapeutic responses to behaviour and has strategies to encourage emotional regulation and social communication. 

  • Has excellent communication skills 

  • Is happy to join in FS sessions & outdoor learning. 

  • Is able to use an IPad confidently. 

  • Enjoys working as part of a team and engages with whole school events.
