WELFARE/LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT - required as soon as possible

Salary range:  H3 point 5 to 6 or H4 Point 6 to 9 (£24,790 to £26,409 FTE), depending on experience

Actual Salary Range:  H3 - H4 £16,036 to £17,042 (including London Fringe Allowance)

Hours: 27½ hours per week (term time only)

9.00 am to 3.10 pm with a 40 minute lunch break

We wish to appoint a Welfare/Learning Support Assistant to join a team of 11 Learning Support Assistants to help ensure the physical and social needs of pupils with physical impairment are met.

You will be required to assist with pupils’ personal and intimate care, as well as supporting them during lessons, at break and lunchtime and on occasion, after school. You will also be required to work alongside teachers to help meet the needs of pupils with learning difficulties.

This is a post for which there is a demonstrable skills shortage.  In accordance with the school’s admissions criteria, children of staff at the school are eligible to be allocated a place under this criterion where the member of staff is recruited under a contract of employment to fill a vacant post for which there is a demonstrable skill shortage.
