Teacher/Deputy Head

About the role

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our close knit team to teach Y4 and join the Senior Leadership Team as Deputy Head.

This role is suited to an experienced teacher with leadership aspirations. An interest in leading Maths and Computing would be an advantage but not an essential. In the role of Deputy Head an understanding of budgets, PPG, assessment and strategic planning would be an advantage.

Responsibilities include:

Teaching Y4 and modelling excellent and inclusive practice and therapeutic responses to behaviour.

Building effective partnerships with parents, pupils, colleagues and external professionals.

Liaising with feeder schools to support transition.

Subject leadership.

DH roles and responsibilities would include PPG, Evolve, Assessment for Learning, FOL’s representative and supporting the Head teacher in strategic curriculum and whole school planning and the day to day running of the school.

Person specification:

Drive and passion for teaching, and a commitment to high quality whole class teaching.

Effective interpersonal skills and an ability to work well in a team.

Compassion and a good sense of humour.

An understanding of the school’s ethos as a church school and the Christian values that underpin this.

Commitment to CPD.
