Salary: Salary: MPS/UPS incl. Fringe plus Recruitment & Retention Allowance

of £2,000 per annum for 3 years

Start Date: September 2025

Rickmansworth School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Technology Teacher (with the ability to deliver Product Design / Resistant Materials and Food) to join our vibrant and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and engage students in the world of design, technology, and food studies, helping them develop a strong understanding of both practical and theoretical aspects of the subject. As an Innovation and Design Teacher at our school, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, with the potential to teach at Key Stage 5. You will play a key role in the success of the department and the development of the school’s curriculum in design technology and food. If you are committed to fostering creativity, innovation, and practical skills in students while creating an inspiring learning environment, we would be delighted to hear from you. As there is a demonstrable skill shortage for this post, the successful candidate could apply for a priority admission place for their own child.

About the Innovation & Design Department:

Following the ‘resurrection’ of Technology provision at Rickmansworth School, we are looking to expand the current team who very recently acquired a brand new Innovation & Design Centre. The new Centre boasts two multi-use Technology workshops, a design studio and a prep room. The final phase of the Innovation & Design upgrade programme occurred in Summer 2023 with £100K+ investment in the refurbishment of our Food Technology room. The team is well-supported by an experienced technician.

The post will require the successful applicant to deliver technology and food technology to (at least) KS3.

Applications from ECT’s are welcome.
