About the role
The Sele School is seeking an outstanding Teacher of PE to join a high achieving, successful and forward-looking team of staff. We wish to appoint an imaginative and enthusiastic teacher, who will be keen to work alongside a team determined to create an excellent and enriching learning experience for all of our students both with our PE curriculum time and extracurricular opportunities. Aspects of this role may also require you to do outreach work with our feeder primary schools.
The Sele School is a rapidly improving secondary school demonstrating three years of significant improvement on our progress 8 score. We are looking for a committed individual who is excited to join a professional environment where excellence is the norm and who will seek to take up all the professional development opportunities the school has to offer. The Sele School works with School Sports Partnership and our students undertake Sports Leader roles where they run sports events aimed at Primary Schools.
The successful candidate will:
- Be an outstanding classroom practitioner who will teach PE to students in Years 7 to 11 and BTEC Award.
- Be actively involved in providing extra-curricular opportunities to all age groups.
- Have high standards of communication and interpersonal skills.
