About Us
St Mary's Infants' School is a two-form entry school for Reception to Year 2 pupils, situated in the beautiful, historic market town of Baldock. We are a recently ofsted rated 'Good' school that is continuing to reach new heights. Our children thrive in an environment that depicts our picturesque school grounds and the natural world. We believe in developing the whole child and fully supported staff and therefore have a pastoral lead working to support both staff and pupils. This includes nurture groups and forest schools so we can all flourish together. In addition, we have resident music professionals enriching our music curriculum as well as offering a staff choir and well-being opportunities. We are an outward looking school with strong networks across the community, local nurseries, and our Junior feeder school. We have a strong vision created by all stakeholders.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced special needs teaching assistant to work as a 1:1 SEND assistant, as a result of successful funding being secured. This is a fixed term contract and will last for the duration of funding being secured. This fixed term contract is a part time, term time only contract 8.30-1.00pm may be the possibilty to increase hours depending on funding. The role will involve working with 1:1 pupils and may involve from time to time working with groups and as a whole class teaching assistant under the supervision of a class teacher.
