SEND Administrator, with First Aid
Permanent, Part Time (22.5 hours per week)
H4 : £13,157 - £13,798 (depending on experience)
Term Time plus one week (39 weeks) - Required ASAP
We are looking for a highly motivated SEND Administrator to be the first point of contact in the SEND Department for staff, students, parents and outside agencies. The post holder will be responsible for providing an efficient administrative service to the SEND team which includes managing documentation, taking and receiving phone calls, record keeping and arranging meetings. We are happy to discuss flexible working options.
The successful applicant will:
Have at least 2-3 years' experience of working in an office environment
Have effective written and verbal communication skills
Have excellent interpersonal skills and can work well as part of a team
Have knowledge of relevant safeguarding/child protection legislation and best practice
Ideally have experience of working within an educational setting with young people with SEN
Some knowledge of the SIMS database and knowledge of SEN would be desirable but not essential
Understand the requirements of discretion and sensitivity in all aspects of the role
Have an up to date relevant first aid certificate or be willing to undertake the course.
