About the role

Are you looking for a hugely rewarding role and the opportunity to make a real difference to a young person's life? We require a very patient, flexible, creative and confident individual with a good sense of humour to support some of our children with additional needs. The successful candidate will be required to assist the class teacher in class which will include supporting groups and children individually. We had a successful Ofsted inspection in January 2022 and are now building on this further. As part of the Agora Learning Partnership there are ongoing opportunities for professional development within school and across the Trust.

The role is Monday-Friday term time only 8.45am-3:15pm and will include some cover at lunchtime.

The successful applicant will:

  • Be a positive, flexible and proactive team player
  • Show demonstrable impact in your current role
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience of working with a high level of SEN
  • Support the teaching and learning of an individual with SEN
  • Work in collaboration with teachers, contributing to planning and assessment of SEN pupils
  • Build positive relationships with children and have experience of a wide range of strategies that can be used to engage, enthuse and support learners
  • Be aware of the SEND Code of Practice
