About the role

 Part Time/Full time SEN Learning Support Assistants required 

We are seeking to appoint  skilled and enthusiastic SEND Learning Support Assistants to join our team working with children to support their educational needs. This fixed-term position during term time and will be paid on scale H2.  Experience of working with children with special educational needs would be a significant advantage. 

Our pupils' needs include:

  • Social communication difficulties such as autism
  • Specific learning difficulties
  • Social, emotional and mental health needs

The successful candidates will:

  • Work as part of a team in a supportive environment
  • Be a warm and caring person, who puts the needs of the children first
  • Ideally have previous experience of supporting children within EYFS and KS1 at a 1:1 or small group level
  • Be confident in observing, assessing and planning for children's individual needs and next steps in conjunction with the class teacher and SENDCO
  • Use a range of supportive resources and interventions under advice from the SENDCO
  • Be willing to take part in training opportunities
  • Have great organisational and communication skills

This is a post starting from September 2024 that would be suitable for applicants with some level of experience. The succesful applicant would be working initially as part of a team with children in the Early Years team, but could be deployed across the school up to Year 2 to make best use of skills shown.
