About the role

At Cranborne, every child is at the heart of all we do. We are currently looking for a dedicated Pastoral Lead to join our school and play a key role in enhancing our children’s well-being.

In this position, you will work closely with our children, teachers, and parents, ensuring that our school remains a safe and nurturing place. Your compassionate nature and excellent communication skills will shine as you support the personal and emotional development of our wonderful children. We warmly welcome applications from those with and without Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) because we value the unique insights that different experiences can bring.

As our Pastoral Lead, your main role will be to provide vital pastoral care, addressing the social, emotional, and behavioural needs of our children. You will be their advocate, their voice and their safe place. You will build positive relationships with families, fostering a strong sense of belonging by taking the lead on running coffee mornings, parent workshops and attending our many Cranborne events. You will also support with behaviour management across the school and assist the lead Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) with safeguarding and child protection.

The post would initially be fixed term with the potential to be made permanent for the right candidate.
