Midday Supervisory Assistant
Salary – HB
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Midday Supervisory Assistant to join our friendly and supportive lunchtime team. The successful candidate will be passionate about helping children to thrive in their learning environment, will have high expectations and will enjoy working as part of a team. This role is offered as a fixed-term contract however this could lead to a permanent position.
The successful candidate will
- Have a flexible approach towards their job role as this may differ day-to-day.
- Be calm, confident and be able to demonstrate the ability to work in a team to meet the needs of the pupils.
- Be expected to support and supervise children during the lunchtime period both inside the dining hall and in outdoor play areas.
- Work alongside the lunchtime team to maintain the health, safety, welfare and safeguarding of our pupils,
The team will give support, training and encouragement to ensure the candidate performs the role to the best of their ability.
We are a happy and popular school with a positive and therapeutic ethos. We value the experience that all our support staff bring and the year groups work as a team to best support the children. The succesful applicant will work alongside one or more teachers and will also work independently with groups of children. We are a two-form entry Infant school with an on-site Nursery, set in a residential area in Cheshunt. The school sits in a large open space, shared with our partner Junior school and has its own dedicated Forest School area. The school has well-resourced classrooms and curriculum areas alongside a stunning outdoor environment including our Forest School.
We were last inspected by Ofsted in March 2024 and were judged as continuing to be a good school.

This is a part time post from January 2025 that would be suitable for applicants with some level of experience, however full training will be given.The succesful applicant would be working with children across the school in Early Years and Key Stage 1.
