About the role
We are looking for two practitioners to join our team, working within our highly regarded Early Years setting.
Both positions will work over a 5 day week. One position is 32.5 hours+ a week, term time only + INSET Days (the hours are 8.30am - 3.30pm, with half an hour lunch break), the other is 20 hours a week (11.30am - 3.30pm), term time only + INSET Days. Tannery Drift First School is located in the town of Royston in the North of Hertfordshire. The school is two form entry and caters for children from Nursery to Year 4. We are seeking to appoint an energetic and professional individual, with the ability to be flexible and the willingness to multi task. Applicants should be well organised, adaptable to change, able to use own initiative and thrive in a busy and varied environment. There will be a strong inclusion element to the role, and you will sometimes work with a small group of children with additional needs. Nappy changing and support with toiletting will also form part of the daily routine.
The position is a fixed term contract with the possibility of a permanent contract in the future.
Successful applicants will have excellent communication skills and ideally have experience working in a school or childcare setting. We may appoint early for an exceptional candidate.
Applicants should possess Level 2 qualifications (or equivalent) in both English and Maths; an Early Years practitioner qualification is desirable for this post.
