Lead Teacher Position - Special Educational Needs (SEN) Redbourn Park School - Independent Special School
About Our School: Redbourn Park is an innovative independent special school that has seen remarkable growth since our founding in 2021. We currently operate across two thriving sites, with exciting plans for a third location. Our unique approach combines educational excellence with therapeutic support, serving students aged 7-14 (expanding to 16).
Our Students: We work with highly capable students whose primary need is autism, often accompanied by anxiety and demand avoidance. Many of our students have experienced interruptions in their education, and our role is to rebuild their confidence and reignite their love for learning. Each student has unique potential, and we're committed to helping them achieve it.
The Teaching Environment:
- Small class sizes of 4-6 students
- Support from 1-2 dedicated Teaching Assistants
- Integrated therapeutic team input
- Primary-style teaching approach across age groups
- Approximately 12 students and 8-10 staff per site
- Full National Curriculum delivery with adaptations
Your Role and Impact: As a Lead Teacher, you'll be instrumental in:
