IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN
Robert Barclay Academy (Scholars’ Education Trust)

Grade: H4

Salary: £25,800

Contract: Permanent full year (52 weeks)

Hours: 37 hrs per week Hours are flexible to be agreed with candidate.

Holiday: 25 days + Bank Holidays

Start Date: April/May 2025

To support us along this journey we are now recruiting a first line IT Support Technician, we are looking for a problem-solving ethos and a desire to learn.

 

This position is an ideal first step into a career in IT.  We believe that the person is more important than their experience. If you feel that you don’t match every point of required experience or knowledge but are ready to step up and learn, we welcome your application.

 

The successful candidate will be expected to provide first line support including:

 

  • Troubleshooting and resolving IT issues for staff & students.
  • Hardware/software/printer issues – PCs, iMacs and iPads.
  • Work reported issues/requests via tickets in a Helpdesk system.
  • Supporting student & staff iPads via Microsoft Intune
  • Support & maintain classroom technologies, e.g. projectors, PCs, interactive screens
  • Occasional installation of software on specific PCs.
  • Support school events that require AV Support in the school hall.
  • Prioritise the Teaching & Learning requirements of the school.
  • Build relationships with staff and understand their requirements.

 

 

Occasionally there is a requirement to work outside of hours to support events e.g. open evening. This extra time worked is returned as time off in lieu.
