Hours: 30 hrs pro rata

Salary Scale: H5+ (26409.00 - 28624.00) (Actual Pay 19014.00 - 20608.00)

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced HLTA to work across our school.    We are looking for someone who is forward thinking, dynamic, hardworking and enjoys working with children and adults where you will maintain a positive team working ethic. There will be opportunities for training and career development in School.

We would expect that children in your care are provided with high levels of intellectual, social and emotional support.  You will support the Class Teacher in the mainstream classroom - raising achievement of the class by implementing lessons and activities through a range of ages and classes.

Your role will involve a mixture of the following:

• Covering PPA time.
• Planning, preparation and assessment – given dedicated time.
• Working with whole class, small groups and individuals.
• Delivering interventions.

A good standard of English and Mathematics is expected and the ideal candidate will have the HLTA qualification or equivalent. The role is for 30 hours per week and includes a 30 minute lunch duty.

Candidates invited to attend the selection day will be asked to work with a group of children within the mainstream class, complete a written in tray exercise and complete a formal interview. The successful candidate will be asked to complete a Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure Application form, online checks and undertake an OH health check.
