Amwell View School is seeking a Personal Assistant to the Headteacher to provide high-level administrative and organisational support at the heart of our outstanding school. In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for managing the Headteacher’s schedule, coordinating communications, and ensuring the smooth running of daily operations. You’ll be a key point of contact for staff, parents, and external partners — always representing the school with professionalism, warmth, and integrity. As a Headteachers PA, you will:
- Managing the Headteacher’s diary, meetings, and correspondence
- Handling enquiries from staff, parents, governors, and visitors
- Drafting and proofing professional written communication
- Monitoring and responding to emails and post with discretion
- Maintaining accurate records and supporting admin systems (Arbor)
- Preparing meeting documents and taking minutes as required
- Occasional travel across Hertfordshire to support the Headteacher
- Supporting school events, reception cover, and pupil welfare when needed
- Assist with general office duties as needed, contributing to a positive and productive school atmosphere
Position Details:
- Contract: 37 hours per week , term time only plus 3-weeks
- Hours: Monday - Thursday 8:30 to 17:00, Friday 08:30 to 16:30, with a 60-minute unpaid lunch break
