About the role
Imagine leading a school where the values of learning together, developing enquiring minds, and fostering kindness, generosity, and courage are at the heart of everything you do. Hollybush Primary School, a small and vibrant community school in Hertford, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Headteacher to join our inclusive and supportive environment.
At Hollybush, you’ll get to work in a school that prides itself on high-quality pastoral care and a nurturing atmosphere. Our strong commitment to ensuring every pupil thrives, regardless of their starting point, is what sets us apart. Families choose us for our warm, inclusive atmosphere and the exceptional care and support we provide to help every child engage fully in school life.
You will lead a school with a great Early Years Foundation Stage set up and a well-structured curriculum that fosters a love of learning and strong personal development. Our dedicated staff work closely with pupils and parents to create an environment where everyone can achieve their best.
As our new Headteacher, you will bring confident and proactive leadership, driving high-quality teaching and learning to ensure the best outcomes for every child. You’ll be committed to positive behaviour and culture, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment. Whether you’re an experienced Headteacher or an outstanding Deputy Head ready for your first leadership role, you’ll find a collaborative and strategic Senior Leadership Team ready to support you.
In return, you’ll get a strong, supportive leadership team, experienced and passionate staff, and a committed Governing Board. We offer continued professional development and support, including the Moving to New Headship Programme with HFL Education if you are new to Headship or are from out of county.
