About the role

We are seeking to appoint a candidate who will support the Federation Governing Body through the provision of a confidential, efficient and responsive Administrative and Governance Professional service. You will need to be an excellent administrator with proven skills enabling a high-quality provision which will include regular liaison with the Board of Governors, Executive Leadership Team, staff and other external bodies.

The role is primarily that of the Governance Professional to the Governors, working effectively with the Chair of Governors and the Executive Headteacher as well as other governors. You will be responsible for advising the Governing Body on constitutional matters, within the broad, current legislative framework and providing confidential administrative support to the board. (Training will be given on this element of the role.)

This role is initially for 8 hours per week, however this will be reviewed and may increase if required. This is a term time only role and will be paid at H4.

The potential flexibility of the working pattern can be discussed before or at interview, but please note that the role of Governance Professional to the Governors involves some work in the evenings (meetings are generally held on Wednesdays 7-9pm, not more than 18 times per year, with a mixture of online and in person meetings throughout the year).
