About the role
Are you passionate and knowledgeable about financial systems and management? Do you thrive from working in a supportive environment where every day is different? Are you looking for a flexible role that is part time and term time only? If so, look no further!
Great Gaddesden CE VA Primary School is a small school with a big heart and we are looking for the right person to take a key role in managing our school finance. We pride ourselves on having a warm family-feel and we are delighted to have been ranked in the Top 30 of small schools nationally (Sunday Times Good School Guide, 2025).
This role is for 12 hours per week spread across two days. Ideally the days worked will be Monday and Friday but there may be some flexibility with this.
You will work in collaboration with the Office Administrator (who works in the office 3 days per week) and Pastoral Support Assistant (who oversees attendance). You will be responsible for the school’s financial processes and procedures and will be supported by the Headteacher and an external Financial Business Partner. This role would suit someone with a strong finance background and experience in an education setting would be preferable but not essential.
Great Gaddesden CE VA Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. Appointment to this post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check as well as other pre-appointment checks outlined in Keeping Children Safe in Education (September 2024).
Please note: We reserve the right to close this advert early should we receive sufficient applications. Therefore, please apply as soon as possible. To apply please complete an online application. CVs are not accepted and we politely ask for no agency enquiries.
For any further information, an informal conversation with the Headteacher and to come and look around, please get in touch.
