About the role
We are looking to appoint a part-time Early Years Learning Support Assistant to work as part of our dedicated, creative and supportive team of staff at our small school set in a stunning village location close to Bishop's Stortford and Buntingford.
This will be a fixed term appointment commencing from January 2025 until July 2025 and will give the successful candidate the opportunity to join our nurturing school community with the possibility of contract extension or moving to a permanent position. The role is part-time for 2 days a week as a job share with an existing staff member in our small reception class of thirteen children.

We are looking for a practitioner who will be nurturing, creative, flexible, passionate and enthusiastic with an understanding of the needs of young children in large and small groups, as well as on an individual basis. The successful candidate will also have the ability to approach tasks with positivity, energy and commitment.
Duties will also include break and lunchtime supervision.
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm 2 days per week (to be agreed)
Hours include time to prepare resources and assess pupils.
Teaching and support staff work seamlessly together in a highly positive learning environment and pupils thrive. We are proud of our pupils' excellent behaviour and attitudes to learning. Staff are encouraged to develop as professionals and are given opportunities and support to undertake training.
