Situated in Bishop’s Stortford, our school enjoys an attractive, open setting near the town centre and train station, with excellent transport links to London, Cambridge, and beyond.
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and passionate Deputy SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to join our dynamic Inclusion Team. The successful candidate will work closely with the SENCO to support the strategic development of SEN provision within the school, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning for students with special educational needs. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of students with additional learning needs and contributing to a fully inclusive school environment.
The successful candidate will ideally have a degree level qualification (or equivalent experience) and relevant qualifications in SEN support, or a willingness to undertake further training in SEN co-ordination. They will have a demonstrable understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and experience of working with children with special educational needs.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, staff and external agencies with a commitment to ensuring an inclusive education for all students.
This role is for 37hrs per week, Monday to Friday, Term Time plus CPD days (39 working weeks per year)
Grade 7 (Range 19-23) FTE £31,773 to £34,072 including outer fringe allowance
Pro rata actual salary approximately £27,055 - £29,013 per annum
Grade 8 (Range 23–26) FTE £34,072 - £36,830 including outer fringe allowance
Pro rata actual salary approximately £29,013 - £31,361 per annum
