About the role

An amazing opportunity has arisen at our wonderful school!

Mandeville Primary is on an exciting journey as we are expanding from a one to two-form entry school. As a result, we have a stunning outside area for Early Years, an impressive new building for Key Stage Two (including a magnificent sports hall) and extensive school grounds.

We are seeking to appoint an excellent teacher who has a love of learning to join our positive, supportive and dedicated team.

This appointment is a part-time (4 days per week), maternity cover, commencing 16th June 2025 or September 2025.

We can offer:

  • Children who are motivated and keen to learn;
  • A wonderful learning culture throughout the school;
  • Friendly, caring and supportive staff and governors;
  • Positive relationships with parents/carers and the local community;
  • Personalised continued professional development opportunities.

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Is an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated practitioner;
  • Is an exemplar of strong practice and consistently demonstrates all aspects of the Teachers' Standards;
  • Is creative and reflective in their approach to teaching and learning;
  • Is passionate about achieving the best possible outcome for each and every child;
  • Has high aspirations and expectations of pupils and themselves.

We highly recommend viewing our school website to find out more about us. We would be delighted to show you our school in action so you can experience our friendly and caring ethos, and we can provide you with further information. Please telephone the school office to make an appointment to visit.

We welcome applications from Early Careers Teachers, alongside more experienced practitioners.

Applications close at 9am on Friday 9th May.

Mandeville Primary is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

This post is subject to rigorous pre-employment checks including an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as well as other pre-appointment checks outlined in Keeping Children Safe in Education (September 2024). For candidates that are short-listed for an interview, an online search will be carried out to identify any safeguarding or suitability issues. All new employees will be required to undertake safeguarding training on induction which will be updated regularly in line with statutory guidance.
