About the role

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic teacher to join our friendly teaching team from September (or earlier for the right candidate) at our wonderful school. We all believe in helping our children to learn to love and love to learn. Our recent OFSTED inspection praised our exciting curriculum and nurturing, happy environment. We all enjoy what we do! Come and join our team and be a part of positively transforming children’s lives.

We are a small, one-form entry Church of England primary school with a nursery in a beautiful village with a mainline station that quickly and easily gets you directly into central London. Our children are well behaved, kind and love learning. Our school is well resourced and on extensive grounds which help children to flourish and engage in the wider curriculum. Our school has a strong heart that believes we can all make a positive difference. We believe in education that is taught through core values such as kindness and respect and as such, we are welcoming of all faiths and religions in our whole community.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a qualified teacher or an ECT who can demonstrate and articulate high standards of teaching and learning in either KS1 or KS2
  • Be able to develop positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents and carers
  • Be organised, reliable and love teaching
  • Be flexible in their approach to change and innovation
  • Have high standards of professional conduct and personal integrity

We can offer:

  • Friendly, well-motivated children who enjoy learning
  • A creative and carefully planned curriculum that engages children
  • A happy, caring, supportive working environment where work life balance is encouraged and with dedicated PPA time
  • A great location in very close walking distance of St Margaret’s train station that directly gets in to Liverpool Street station and close to shops and cafes
  • A strong focus on continued CPD for all our staff and opportunities for career development for all
  • Flexible subject leader opportunities
  • A positive and welcoming local community

St Andrew’s C of E (VC) Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and all post holders are subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure.

We believe in a fully diverse and inclusive workplace and therefore strongly encourage suitably qualified applicants from all backgrounds to apply.
