Are you an exceptional leader with a passion for SEMH education? We are seeking three dynamic and experienced Assistant Headteachers to join our outstanding leadership team across our two sites in Stevenage and Pulloxhill.

About Us:
We are a specialist SEMH primary school committed to providing exceptional education and support to our pupils. Our school operates across two sites, working collaboratively to ensure the highest standards of education and care for all our children.

The two schools are approximately 16 miles apart, and roles will be based at either our current school in Stevenage or the new Pulloxhill site, depending on the position.

The Opportunities:
We are recruiting for three Assistant Headteacher positions:
• 2 positions based at our Stevenage site
• 1 position based at our Pulloxhill site

These roles combine leadership responsibilities with classroom teaching and or/pupil facing time, with each Assistant Headteacher having a 50% teaching commitment. This ensures our leaders maintain a strong connection with classroom practice while developing their leadership skills.

While each Assistant Headteacher will have a main base, our Senior Leadership Teams work closely together across both sites, fostering a unified approach to school improvement and development. Regular joint working and collaboration between sites is an integral part of these roles.

We are looking for individuals who:
• Have a deep understanding of SEMH needs and inclusive education
• Demonstrate exceptional leadership skills and strategic thinking
• Are committed to achieving outstanding outcomes for vulnerable pupils
• Have proven experience in leading school improvement initiatives
• Can build strong relationships with pupils, staff, parents, and stakeholders
• Are resilient, adaptable, and innovative in their approach
• Can model outstanding classroom practice
• Can effectively balance teaching and leadership responsibilities

What we offer:
• A supportive and collaborative leadership environment
• Excellent professional development opportunities
• The chance to make a real difference to children's lives
• Competitive salary and benefits package
• A balanced role combining classroom practice with leadership duties

Application Process:
In your cover letter, please clearly indicate whether you:
• Would prefer to be based at a specific site (please specify which)
• Would be happy to work at either site
• Have any site preferences or constraints

All appointments are subject to the satisfactory completion of the necessary pre-employment checks, including two references, enhanced DBS certificate and occupational health checks as part of our safeguarding and induction procedures.
