Bushey St James Trust was formed in February 2012. From the initial discussions one principle remained steadfast through the whole process; if the decision was taken to academise this would be used as an impetus for change and development. Therefore, Bushey Meads School and Little Reddings Primary School decided to proceed as a joint academy to establish closer links between the two phases of education and to be innovative.
The schools are now in the unique position where the Head of Little Reddings is retiring and the Head of Bushey Meads is moving to headship in another school. The Executive Principal vacancy is a new position within the Trust with the aim to forge closer links between the two partner schools and to expand the Trust within the local area. He / she will have a specific remit to the Trustees to develop this partnership and to promote its work with other local schools.
In the current education climate schools are facing many challenges and this position has been created to lead the Trust and to take opportunities to develop it during through this dynamic period. The Trustees are convinced that partnership between schools is at the heart of the future of education and therefore an enlarged Trust will benefit students, parents, staff and the community in providing services and a first class education
