About the role
We are seeking to appoint a permanent teaching assistant/MSA to join our small, friendly team from April 2025. We have potential to offer this post as a HLTA position for the right candidate. The salary will be between H1-H4 depending on experience. The hours are from 8.30am-3.15pm Monday-Friday term-time only.
We are looking for a caring, reliable and flexible person to work with groups and provide support to individual children, mainly based in KS2. A secure understanding of primary maths and English skills would be an advantage.
We can offer you a welcoming community, well-resourced classes and commitment to your development.
Our recent Ofsted report (December 2024) recognises that ‘school leaders, including governors, have taken positive steps to ensure the school has maintained its high standards. The school supports staff well and is considerate of their workload, well-being and training'
We are linked to another small school and will federatate with effect from February half term. We enjoy the ‘family feel’ of a small setting where we get to know each child really well, along with the benefits and security that comes from being part of a larger organisation.
We are fortunate to have extensive grounds in a beautiful village with a popular deli take away next door!
If you are interested in the role, we would love to hear from you and strongly encourage visits to our school. Please contact Mrs Karen Baker or Mrs Leanda Goulding admin@ponsbourne.herts.sch.uk 01707 872395.
At Ponsbourne St Mary’s, we are committed to safeguarding children and young people. All post holders are subject to a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
