About the role
We are looking to appoint a permanent Teaching Assistant/HLTA to support students with Special Educational Needs and / or Disabilities to enable them to achieve their full potential at school.
You will work in class with small groups and on a one-to-one basis with a range of students of all ages. Applicants need to be cheerful, adaptable, patient and ready to support students with a range of needs. Previous experience of working with young people is preferable but not essential as induction, training and support will be provided. Those undertaking the HLTA role will have additional responsibilities commensurate with their qualifications/skills/experience and salary.
We are looking to appoint a candidate for 30 hours per week, 8.30 a.m. to 3.00 p.m., term time only, however candidates looking for a part time position during these hours are also encouraged to apply. This position is suitable for someone who is just starting out on their career in education, looking to gain experience before undertaking teacher training or maybe an experienced Teaching Assistant/HLTA looking for a new opportunity. The salary for 30 hrs per week and term time only, depending on role/qualifications/skills/experience, is £16,768 - £19,885 per annum (approximately).
