About the role

Our teaching assistants make all the difference to our children and our teachers.  Do you have the skills to join us? We are looking for a caring and supportive individual who will work with our teachers and SENCo to support taching and learning.

The Opportunity

  • Supervise activities for small groups or 1:1, enabling all children to overcome their barriers to learning.
  • Support the teaching team to establish appropriate learning for our children
  • Work with our teachers to offer a differiated curriculum when needed
  • Assist with break time and lunchtime supervision including facilitating games and activities. 

We are looking for a self-motivated and hard-working individual to join our highly skilled team of professionals. A good standard of written and spoken English are essentail.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be confident and open to work with children including those with SEND
  • Be a committed practitioner with high expectations of our children and of themselves
  • Be hardworking, a team player and have a sense of humour
  • Be able to follow professional advice and implement appropriate strategies to support learning
  • Have a good command of English and basic level of maths skills in order to support pupils
  • Be able to work on their own initiative and manage and organise their time effectively
  • Show commitment to the safeguarding of children

Previous experience working with children is essential.

Hours: Mon-Weds, 8:40-3:20pm, to include a lunch duty. Term time only.
