About the role
Due to increasing pupil numbers, we are seeking to appoint a new member of our team to work with children in Early Years five days a week, 9am to 1pm. The role will include both teaching and learning assistant hours and lunch time support. Experience of working with Early Years children would be an advantage, however, as a school, we ensure all staff are given training and support to meet the needs of all of our pupils. We are looking for a starting date of 6th January 2025 or sooner.
The successful candidate will:
- be a warm and caring individual, who truly puts the children first
- be flexible within their role to meet the needs of all of our children
- be committed to their own professional development
- relish the opportunity to work in a very supportive and dedicated team
- have previous experience of supporting children within EYFS
- be confident in observing, assessing and planning for children's individual needs and next steps
- work hard to ensure the child they support is fully included in every aspect of school life, using a range of supportive resources and interventions under advice from the SENCO
- have a willingness to attend relevant training
- have great organisational and communication skills and the ability to work closely with colleagues
In return, we can offer a very positive working environment due to
- delightful children who are hard-working and keen to learn
- a very committed staff team who are caring and supportive
- excellent support from parents, governors and links to other local schools
- small class sizes
- mentoring and continuing professional development
- an excellent range of resources and ICT facilities
