Teaching Assistant
Contract: 30 hours 25 minutes per week, term time only
Hours: 8.40-3.15
H3/4 depending on experience (£23,500-£25,199 pro rata)
Start date: As soon as possible
We are seeking to recruit an experienced teaching assistant to join a team that is committed to providing the best possible outcomes for its children. We are looking for a friendly, positive and professional person who will put the children and the school at the heart of what they do.
Our teaching assistants support teachers to deliver the curriculum, lead target teaching for small groups of children and where necessary work on a 1-1 basis with pupils. They also form part of our midday supervisory team.
Teaching assistants employed at H4 scale provide cover for classes to cover teacher absence.
Candidates need to be empathetic and have an understanding of the importance of mental well-being in children and how to support this. Ideally, candidates would have all or any of the following skills:
- Experience of working with children of varying ages from 4 – 11
- An affinity with, or previous experience of working with children with additional needs
