Salary: Grade 2, £22,665 - £22,841 per annum
(Approximately £15,709 - £15,831 pro rata per annum (0.69309 FTE)

Are you passionate about making a difference in students' lives? We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team, providing essential support to pupils and teachers.

In this role, you will work with individuals and groups of pupils, assist with classroom preparation and resource management, and support the general pastoral care of students.

Avanti Grange Secondary School opened in September 2022 with 4 forms of entry (120 Year 7 students only) in September 2022 rising to 6 form of entry (180 Year 7 students) from September 2023. What will you do?

  • Support individual and group learning activities under the supervision of the class teacher and encourage pupil interaction.
  • Assist with the pastoral care of pupils, including helping those who are unwell or distressed.
  • Prepare and maintain classroom resources and provide clerical support to the teacher.
  • Provide regular feedback on pupils' progress and achievement to the teacher.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies on child protection, health and safety, and participate in school trips and out-of-school activities.
