Wymondley JMI School is situated in the village of Little Wymondley, just outside Hitchin. With a PAN of 15 children per year group from Reception to Year 6, we have a total of 105 children, who are taught in mixed-year classes.

Set in beautiful countryside, on the edge of the village, we have expansive grounds including an impressive forest school area where pupils can enjoy the pond, den building and growing plants and vegetables as well as learning about mini beasts.

The school has achieved a great community feel through positive relationships built on a nurturing and secure environment for our pupils, supported by staff, governors, parents and carers. We have strong links with other local village schools and are successful participants in inter-school sporting and extra-curricular activities.

We are looking for someone who understands the unique rewards and challenges of working in a small school.

We can offer:

  • A supportive Headteacher with a passion to ensure all children achieve their full potential and that all staff are developed to reach theirs.
  • A committed, supportive and friendly staff team.
  • A firm commitment to your continuing professional development
  • A strong, caring ethos where all are valued.
  • A Governing Body supportive of the school's desire to attain the highest standards in all areas of development.

Wymondley JMI School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
