St Luke’s is a wonderful Foundation Special School for pupils aged 7-16, who have a wide range of learning and social needs, fantastic personalities and skills that make this job truly special! We support each unique child to become happy learners and increasingly confident about their values and belonging.
It is not simply a photocopying and pencil sharpening job, but one where you will be fully engaged in working with vulnerable children and making a difference on a daily basis! Experience of working with pupils with special needs is not essential.
The applicant will be responsible for supporting our teachers and inspiring children with complex learning disabilities, all of whom have cognitive disabilities. Many of our children have Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC), Speech Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) and Moderate Learning Disabilities (MLD).
