About the role

We are a welcoming and inclusive Nursery and Infants' school in Stevenage with high expectations for our children who are motivated and keen to learn.  We are looking to appoint a patient, hard-working and confident Teaching Assistant to join our creative and friendly staff team.  This appointment will be on a term time only basis. 

The successful candidate will be well experienced in working with young children, preferably in an educational environment.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A positive, patient and pro-active approach
  • committment to children's learning
  • An ability to work well in a team
  • A desire to develop their own practice
  • Experience of working with young children of all abilities, in an educational environment, preferably with SEN experience
  • Experience of working with a wide range of children from a variety of backgrounds
  • Level 3 or above qualification in Classroom Learning Support or similar
  • GCSE passes in Maths and English
  • good behaviour management

Closing date for applications is 8th January 2025 with interviews during the following week.  

This role is for 27.5 hours per week, term time only, fixed to July 2025 with the possibility of extension subject to the needs of the cohort.
