We are looking for a Teaching Assistant (to work initially in EY/KS1) who is committed to supporting children's learning and progress. The successful applicant will be required to work alongside the class teacher to support teaching and learning opportunities for all pupils, as well as carry out the agreed duties of a TA.
As a Teaching Assistant you will be expected to build successful, positive relationships with pupils, supporting the class teacher to maintain a secure, challenging and stimulating learning environment. The candidate will have experience of working in school, preferably alongside children with SEND. The candidate will also support our children at lunchtime as a Midday Supervisory Assistant.
The working hours are from 8:30am to 3:30 pm Monday to Friday, term time only plus training days. This includes an hour of Midday Supervisor Duties each day. You will be an integral part of a friendly and committed team of teachers and practitioners and you must be able to work using your own initiative. All applicants should have a Maths and English GCSE grade C or above or the equivalent.
Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This role involves working closely with children and all applicants will need to have had an enhanced DBS check. For further details or to arrange a visit, please contact the school office.
Please note applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and we reserve the right to interview and appoint prior to this closing date should a suitable applicant be found.
Following the shortlisting stage, and prior to making a final decision, the School will collect and process information publicly available about you by conducting a brief online search using an internet search engine. We do this to ensure that the school acts in accordance with its obligations set out in Keeping Children Safe in Education.
By signing the application form I understand that I am giving my consent for the School to carry out an online search if I am shortlisted for this post. The search would be part of the School's due diligence in line with the latest KCSIE guidance and would be limited to identifying any incidents or issues that have happened and are publicly available online. I understand that the School might want to explore any such incidents or issues with me at interview.
