Westfield Primary School & Nursery - Teaching Assistant incl. MSA Duties

Westfield Primary School & Nursery are seeking to employ an outstanding, enthusiastic and energetic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated team. Experience of supporting children with SEND, as well as knowledge of strategies supporting SEMH and behaviour would be a distinct advantage for this role.  

The successful candidate will work with individuals, pairs and groups of children to support the delivery of learning within the classroom whilst maintaining the high standards of behaviour and classroom management we expect and supporting the social and emotional needs of the children.  

The position is term time only working Monday to Friday. Full time and part-time hours will be considered. The pay scale for the role will be H3 (Point 5).  Duties will also include break and lunchtime supervision.

You will need to be confident in all aspects of the teaching assistant role as well as being patient, flexible, able to work in a calm and positive manner, literate and numerate, have initiative and the ability to work as part of a team. The ability to adapt to the ever changing needs of a school is essential. In return, we can offer you, amongst a lot of other things!
