About the role
Amwell View School & Specialist Sports College caters for pupils with severe learning difficulties aged between 2 and 19 years who may have singular or multiple difficulties. The school enjoys a very good relationship with parents, families, associated professionals and the local community. The school has an excellent range of resources and facilities, making learning possible and education fun.
We are looking for a Graduate Teaching Assistant wanting to pursue teacher training. It is the perfect opportunity for an aspiring Primary Teacher who is keen to gain first-hand experience working in a special school before enrolling onto Teacher Training.
Amwell View School has an excelent track record of supporting candidates through Initial Teacher Training (ITT) to gain QTS. You will receive high quality mentoring and support from the leadership team, as well as:
- Teacher training through the 'TES Straight to Teaching' course. Straight to Teaching | Tes
- Training fees paid for by the school
- Mentoring from a member of the senior leadership team
- 1 day out of class during period of training + PPA time
- Unqualified 1 salary whilst training
