Teacher of Science (Full/Part Time)

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and engaging science teacher to join our fantastic school. The successful candidate will work within an ambitious, vibrant and high performing department to instill a love of science in all students. The department runs multiple A-Level classes in each of Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Environmental Science, and an ability to teach one of those to A-Level would be expected of the successful candidate. Students routinely make excellent progress at GCSE and A-Level across each of the various courses and there is a strong track-record of large numbers of students going on to study science-related courses at university. It is equipped with 11 new labs, each with the latest touchscreen technology, and a large prep room, which provides a central hub for the whole department.

The Bishop’s Stortford High School is a popular, oversubscribed 6FE school of 1260 students, providing a single-sex education for boys in Years 7 to 11 with a thriving mixed sixth form of close to 400 students, including 134 female students. This is a very exciting time to be joining TBSHS, as we have just relocated to a brand-new state-of-the-art school on a large site less than a mile from our previous location. We have a fantastic new learning environment, supported by cutting edge technology, and huge opportunities for the future.
