About the role

Do you want to make a difference for children with additional needs?

We are a mainstream primary school and are looking to recruit hard working teaching assistant/s, who are willing, confident, and ready to make a difference for children with SEND, particularly social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Candidates should be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and confident individuals looking to join a friendly, dedicated, hardworking team.

The candidate should have an understanding and ability to support a child with attachment and/or trauma needs. You will be working with our SEND Lead, Year group/nurture staff and other professionals to provide the best possible care and a calm environment for all our children.

What we need:

  • Patience, empathy, resilience, and experience in de-escalating challenging behaviour. 
  • A passion for nurturing a child with SEND within a mainstream classroom.
  • Ability to work as part of a team to proactively deliver high quality kinesthetic learning opportunities.
  • Qualifications in English and Maths.

This position is full time school hours 8.45am-3.15pm, term time only and is a fixed term contract from September  2024 to July 2025. The closing date will be  Monday 1st July  at 1pm, interview ate to be confirmed with a view to the successful candidate/s starting as soon as possible.
